I William L. Martin, swore that I will well and faithfully serve the United States in the office of Special Indian Agent for the tribes in Umpqua and Ca-oose Valleys in oregon, that I will carefully attend to all such orders and instructions as I shall from time to time recieve from the President of the United States, Secataryie of the interior, comissioner of Indian affairs, or the person under whose direction I am or may hereafter be plased; and that in all things belonging to my said office, during my continuence therein, I will faithfully, justly, and truly, according to the best of my skill and judgment, do equal and impartial justice, without fraud, favour or affection
